These behaviours can  manifest in various forms, such as procrastination, self-doubt, perfectionism, or even self-destructive habits like overeating or substance abuse.

To understand self-sabotage, we must explore the inner workings of the brain.

Our brains are incredibly complex organs with billions of neurons interconnected through intricate neural pathways.

These pathways are formed and strengthened through repeated thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

When we consistently engage in self-sabotaging thoughts and actions, we reinforce these neural pathways, making it increasingly difficult to break free from destructive patterns.

The good news is that our brains possess a remarkable ability known as neuroplasticity, which allows them to reorganise and rewire themselves in response to new experiences and learning.

This means that we have the power to reshape our brains and override self-sabotaging tendencies by intentionally creating new, positive neural pathways.
